CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The fiftieth annual report of the Canterbury Rugby Union states that the past season was most successful. The public continued to take a very keen interest in the game, a 9 was evidenced by the excellent attendances. The season's operations resulted in a profit of £1958 ,13s Bd. The increase in profit was due to the two Ranfurly Shield matches. This.year will mark the jubilee of' the union, and arrangements! are being made for suitable celebrations.
