Tliq Vissoll family, who recently put into Gisborno in their own yacht, tho Wanderlust (in which they have been cruising since 1927); come from La Cresconta, California. Mr. Harvoy Vissoll is tho owner of tho yacht, and with him are Mrs. Vissell, their daughter, Dorothy Ann, and a baby about two years of ago, and a, niece, Miss Eunice Vissoll. A " Gisborno Times" interviewer found Atrs. Viaaoll a lady of engaging personality, who is interested in women's clubs. She is on.o of tho founders of tho Clubhouso in La Cresconta, which is proving too small for growing membership. "Tho club women over thcro havo dramatic classes, cooking sections, etc., and take a great interest in child welfare, and doctors give thoir services to tho clinic froo of charge," said Mrs. Vissoll. They also havo a wondorful system of making and supplying sandwichos for tho forest fire-lighters.

The two cousins on board the Wanderlust wear seamen '• uniforms, and go barefoot while aboard, and each keeps a big book and diary; they take charts of meteorological changes, and are keonly interested in navigation, for each takes her turn at the wheel. Miss Eunice is acting as instructress to Dorothy Ann, who is a college student. The girls are hard at work on Tahitian bodsproads, for which a Tahitian expert had cut tho design whilo the Wandorlust was at tho Islands. Dorothy Ann is a book-lover,' and tho captain of tho vessel is teaching her French. Sho has with her a collection of books specially selected from a list rocommonded by tho principal of a girls' college in tho States. The Vissell family is- indeed a talonted ono.

Tho Wanderlust is on a visit to New Zealand, and was an unexpected caller at Gisborno, on route to Auckland and other ports.
