[ The connecting links botween tho scenes will, be given by-tho producer, Kllzabeth Blake. The Players appearing In tho "Merchant :of '.Venice" will. not be dressed In . the conventional' Shakespearean clothes, but following the more: modern- fashion of stag.) dressing, will wear clothes which are designed from the graceful period of Henry VI., flowing lines In the women's'frocks and vivid colouring will bo seen.. Other-Items will be "The Bear,'.-a onoact farce;by".Tchekpv,land "A Lovo Passage" by Mr. W. W.< Jacob's. . The scene la the. cabin of a small coasting steamer, and tho play a typical Jacobs comedy.
