Edward James Payton, aged 30, charged ■with stenling 0s from Macdufl's, Ltd., was remanded tilt Tuesday. Chief-Detective Ward said several other charges involving about £2 3b were pending. For some time past small sums of money were being stolen from the till of MacdufPs. This morning a watch'was set, and the accused, who was a cleaner, was arrested.
