44 HOURS WEEK ACCEPTED

CHEISTCHUBCH, This Day.
In the •■ general engineers', boilermakers', and moulders' dispute to-day, the employers agreed to accept a 44----hours week. : . '• • '
. Mr. T. 0. Bishop, seerotary of the Ironmasters' Association, said that the decision had not been an easy one. Ho hoped the employees would, realise tho position, and that on other points in dispute there would be an agreement that would give the industry some measure of relief.- : .
