A Kewpsey message states that serious floods have occurred on tho Macloay River. As it is still raining heavily, the indications are that the position will become worse. The river is a raging tomsnt, and the low-lying country is inundated. The water is four feet deep in some parts of Ke.mpsey. and tho majority of people have vacated their homes. A few people are still marooned but are not 'in serious danger. Disastrous floods are also feared on the otlibr North Cojist rivers.
