Tho courso of this year's Schneider trophy raco to bo flown over tho Solent will bo' quadrilatoral instead of triangle as in all previous races. Tho decision has been mado owing to tho difficulty in negotiating tho sharp turns at the great speed now being attained by racing seaplanes. It is expected that tho alteration will enable competitors to attain average speeds moro nearly approaching tho maximum of ■which tho entrants arc capable.
