SYDNEY, This-Day.
The serious depression, in the sugar industry iii Queensland and New South Wales is duo largely to over-production. The complaint is made by New Soutli Wales growers that when Queensland ousted black labour it was nover intended that Southern Europeans should be allowed to engage in unrestricted production at cheaper rates than white growers in a neighbouring State. It is likely that New South Wales growers will have to withdraw from the sugar pool and do the best they can for themselves.
