THE NAVY LEAGUE
NEED OF A STRONG FLEET

AUCKLAND, 28th January. The Navy League Conference decided to dispatch a cablegram expressing devotion and loyalty to the: King, and gratification at the continued progress toward recovery in His Majesty's health.
A remit expressing sympathy with reasonable reduction of naval forces, but also hoping the responsible authorities -would not allow the Empire's naval forces to be weakened below the limits of absolute safety, was carried unanimously.
The next conference will be held in Dunedin.
