SEA SCOUTS' REGATTA

In spite of a rough wind, the Wellington Sea Scouts' regatta, held at Petone on Anniversary Day, proved very successful. A varied programme was carried out under the direction of Commander .Young (Sea Scout, Commissioner), assisted by members of the committee and officers of the Sea Scouts. The competitions ,were keenly contested, particularly the interwhaler and diving events, and a very fine spirit prevailed, among the competitors. Visitors to the regatta included Sir Alfred Robin (Scout Commissioner) and Mr. R. Darrocli (Navy League. At the end of the day Mr. H: Donkin, of the Wellington Boy Scouts' Association, presented prizes to the successful competitors.

Swimming Race, 50yds (under 14).—Roberts (P.N.). 1; Scorringe (Petone), 2. Lifebuoy Race (over 14).—Brader (Petone), 1; Parr (Petone), 2. Lifebuoy Race (under 14).—Frame (Petone), 1; Dunn (Evans Bay), 2. Diving (over 14).—Gardiner (P.N.S.S.), 1; Parkhouse (Collingwood), 2. Diving (under 14).—Livingstone (P.N.
