MEDICAL MAN'S OPINION

AUCKLAND, This Day. Dr. -W. S. Handley, of London, arrived by ,the Maunganui this morning from Sydney, to address the delegates to the Medical Conference to be held in Wellington in February, on recent research in cancer.

"I very much appreciate tho invitation to New Zealand," Dr. Handley said. "At'the conference in London last July it was shown that very definite, but slow, progress was being made in the treatment of cancer, especially in the use of radium, and improved methods of operation."

1 Dr. Handley urged the 'importance of early, treatment, and he holds tho emphatic opinion that cancer can be cured. ■
