ftEA'N KILLED AT THORNDON

The second fatality in the Thorndon railway'yards within five weeks occurred about 10 o'clock this morning, a married main, Frederick Major, aged 69, of 60, Austin street, being killed while oiling some points. It is stated that Major, who was employed as a casual labourer for tho Railway Department, was bending down attending to the points when an engine shunted slowly on to him. Ho was struck by the cow-catcher, and was killed instantly.
