A. rather unusual atnto of affairs occurred in the Napier Police Court recently, when, on the suggestion of the Magistrate (Mr. A. M. Mowlem), a young man who had acted as informant in a Charge of negligent driving against a man of the same surname as himself, his evidence resulting in a conviction being entered, was formally charged with negligent driving also. He jilcnded guilty, says an exchange. Ho was.brought before the Court just prior to the adjournment of the sitting and fined.
