(Received 28th January, 2 p.m.) ,' SAN FRANCISCO, 27th Jan. ' Tlio Young Australians, who aro departing for Los Angeles on Monday, are heavily booked there for their tenday stay. They will be officially welcomed by tho Mayor, will tour tho movio studios, and visit Catalina Island and tho various universities «nd industrial plants. Tho Rotary Club will bo hosts and the boys -will stay, at private homes during their visit to Los Angeles.

While at San Francisco the Australian boys visited Oakland and placed; their feet on the spot where Kingsford Smith started on his historic flight* They also visited the University ,of California, whero'they were welcomed by a huge- crowd of cheering students and where President Campbell, of the university, recalled his visit to Australia to witness the solar eclipse in. 1922.

During tho reception Mr. Charles Moore, who organised the World's Exposition in 1915, announced a project whercunder 300 Californian business men would make a Pacific tour embracing Australia, beginning in September, for tho purpose of enabling Australian^ and Americans to become better acquainted.
