A Cairns message states that while bathing in eighteen inches of water- in a city swimming enclosure, Kevin Conlon, 2i years of age, was attacked by a largo crocodile, which bit a large piece of flesh from his hip and inflicted deep gashes in his back with its claws. He is in a critical condition. The crocodile got the man through a hole in thebaths.
