MINISTER TO .CONSIDER CASE

When he has had an opportunity of perusing the evidence given at the inquest concerning the death of Elsie Walker, held recently at Auckland, the Minister of Justice (the Hon. T. M. Wilford) will decide what action lie will take in regard to suggestions mado by the Coroner (Mr. R K. Hunt, S.M.) in reference to the conduct of the ease by the police.

Eoplying to a question to-day, the Minister said ho had read the statement made by Mr. Hunt, and ho had also road tho speeches made by counsel iv tho case. As neither of counsel's speeches wero evidence, said Mr. Wilford, he was waiting until bo had received a. copy of the evidence. This he would peruse and consider carefully before making any pronouncement iv regard to any possible action he might take.
