TRENTHAM TRACK NOTES

THIS MOENING'S WOEK. Weather conditions improved a good deal- for the work at -Trentham this morning, and in addition <- matters brightened up a little. Apart from Star God, whose appearance suggests that he is improved, there are no visitors to date. The tracks are in excellent order now. Panther and Historic were worked together on the tan. .They were not out to make time, and ran seven furlongs in lrnhi 32see. Quantum and Bourse were companions over sis furlongs on tho tan in lmin 18aec Thpyare both in good order.. Catkin, whose feet are troubling him again, ran six furlongs on the tan in lmin 18Jscc. Becky Sharp and Tea Queen strode over four furlongs in .a'mariner which suggested that there is little amiss with them after their recent racing. A number of two-year-olds were allowed to run down from the six-furlong post on the straight course, pulling up at the junction of • the "course■-proper, which represents a half-mile journey. Crash and Push were mates to run along in good style. Hunting Day had J. Lowe's Biplane youngster for a companion, and Ex Dono',' the three-year-old brother to; Firs t' Sight, Tourist, , Lady Ecnc, .and First Money. finished ahead of Painting in' their sprint. Oratrix and Concentrate on the tan | were not hurried to run a mile in lmin 54sec. They are both in good order. Cimabuc on the trial grass dashed over four furlongs in 48 4-sscc. Australis over the same conrse took , 50sec. ' Grand Blow and General Assembly I ran three furlongs in 36sec. on .the trial grass. , .'.,'' Boyal' Game and Decoy Bird were given a strong gallop''over' aix furlongs.
