WEDDINGS

♦ St. Mary of the Angela' Church was the scene of a pretty wedding recently, when Molly, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wright-Taitt, of Wellington, was married to Charles 11., second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Thompson, also of Wellington. The Children of Mary Sodality, of which the bride was a member, formed a guard' of honour as tho bride entered the church escorted by her father. The ceremony was performed by the Key. Father Mark Devoy, who also celebrated Nuptial Mass, the choir rendering appropriate ■ music throughout. The bride wore a dainty frock of ivory georgette and guipure laeo over crepe de chine, prettily finished with a pale pink posy and caught at the shoulder and waist with orange blossom. Her embroidered tulle veil was arranged with diamante trimming and a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of carnations and sweet peas with touches of pink. Tho bridesmaid, Miss Kathleen Cardiff, of Sydney, was dressed in a frock of French blue georgette and chantilly lace, finished at tho shoulder with a diamante buckle and posy, and wore a model hat to tone. Her bouquet was composed of pink roses and carnations. The role of best man was filled by Mr. T. O'Sullivan, of Wellington. The bride's mother wore a gown of navy blue faille, and a- hat to match. The mother of the bridegroom was dressed in an ensemble "of beige marocain, and wore a hat to tone. After the wedding breakfast the bride and bridegroom left for the South, Mrs. Thompson wearing a ait of rose beige chenille with fox furs.' The wedding took place recently at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral, of Miss lolanthe (Iola) Livermore, elder daughter of Mrs. S. A. Ball, of Kelburn, and Mr. Win. Barr, of Wadestown. The bride, who was accompanied by her grandfather (Mr. J. T. Hall), was becomingly frocked in ivory ninon and lace over crepe do chine, with a richly embroidered veil and coronet of orange blossoms. Misses Lynda Livormoro and May Barr were bridesmaids, and little Fay Harming was a flower girl, tho three being daintily dressed in frocks of blue crepe de chine and silver lace, with coronets of forget-me-nots and rosebuds. - Messrs. G. Barr and C. J. Livermore were best man and groomsman respectively. A reception was afterwards held at the New Adelphi Cabaret, where Mrs. Ball received her many guests, and an enjoyable evening . was spent. The bride and bridegroom left i -later for the North.
