Tlio liabit of some householders of allowing solid objects and rags to enter the drainage system was discussed by the Petone Borough Council last ovening when the Borough Inspector, Mr. W. B. Gough, remarked: "To educate the public is a very hard thing indeed." It was decided to have notices printed warning the public against the practice.
