CHRISTCHURCH NORTH
(By Telegraph.—Press -Association.) CHRISTCHUECH, 15th October. Owing to her time. being fully occupied with work among the women and young people of the Dominion in the capacity of Dominion president of tho AAromcu's Christian Temperance Union, Mrs. T. E. Taylor, United Party candidate for the Ohristchurch North scat, has decided to retire from the contest. The announcement lias added -a new interest to the political situation in the city. It is generally expected that Mr. E. 11. Andrews will bow be transferred
from Christehurch South to the Christchurch North contest, as the official United Party candidate. In the event of Mr. Andrews deciding to make the change to Christehurch North, the position in Christehurch South will take on a new interest. It is stated that the United Party has a candidate ready to take Mr. Andrews's placo in Christchurch South, and the Reform Party is similarly situated; therefore, a triangular contest would appear to be inevitable.
