ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE
British Official Wireless. (Received 16th October, 11 a.m.) KUGBY, loth October. Probably the finest spectacle which the Prince of Wales has yet witnessed in Bast Africa was provided by fifteen hundred Sessc natives who met the vessel on which the Prince crossed Lake Victoria a quarter of a mile from Entebbe, the lakeside capital of Uganda. The islanders formed an escort with their canoes, accompanying the ship to the pier at Entebbe, where the Prince was welcomed'by the Governor, Sir William Gowcrs, the heads of the Government, and leading residents. A programme for the entertainment of the Prince in Uganda has been' arranged to allow a full opportunity for him to see the country. There will be only a few official functions, all of which are to be disposed of in one day.
