When Councillor E. Semple said at the meeting of the Water Supply Board on AVednesday that ho had seen the WainuL dam with only two or three weeks' supply in it, he was alluding to the period before the Orongorongo supply was available, and ho wished to make it Hoar to the other local bodies Unit they should take care that they were not faced with the same position themselves. Mr. Semple is anxious that the impression should not be conveyed by his condensed remarks that there is any danger of the Waiimi dam going dry under the present conditions.
