Victor M'liiißlen, who aiiileved liis first triumph as Captain Flats i» "What Trito Hlory," scores again in "A CMrl in livery Port," to bo shown at the Puramoimt Theatre to-niglit. It Is the story of a man-driving mate on an American merchantman, Spiko Sladden, plnycd by M'Laglen. It is a role that is ideally lilted for this tall soldier of fortuno of real life, and ho plnys it with conviction. Tho story deals with tho doings of SpiUo Madden, a hard driver of mcii aboard ship, and a passionate lover of women in port. Ho is irresistible to the fair sex. All goes well with him until ho discovers that caeli of his girls lias a token of some one man who has preceded him. His trying to catch up with tills Lothario and their final meeting results in a scries of episodes that aro crammed with excitement and laughter. Light screen favourites play opposito M'Lagleu as the girls in tho various ports, among whom are included Louise Brooks, Maria Casa]uaua, Natalia Joyce. Leila Hyaras, and others equally well known. Itobcrt Armstrong gives a splendid performance in the role of Salami, the man who forestalls Spike's lovo affairs. Good sup porting items will precede the main feature and include a bright Sunshine comedy and Topical Budget. A specially arranged Incidental musical programme will bo rendered by the Orchestra Paramount, under tho direction or Mr. Robt. Cauiton.
