With a thirty-foot putt on the eleventh Duncan again squared the match. After hooking a drive and playing a poor second Nettlefold was lucky to win the thirteenth, Duncan taking three putts. Nettlefold with a nice wood and iron was well on the sixteenth green, and a four made him 2 up. Duncan took another three putts on the seventeenth and was lucky to halve. Nettleford won the eighteenth, 4-5, and was 3 up. In the afternoon Nettlefold won the match, 5 and 4.
