PETONE FIRE BOARD
■ j The quarterly meeting of tho Potone Fire. Board was held yesterday. The superintendent of the brigade reported that during the last quarter the brigade had been called out only twice. I The plant, appliances, and alarm system were all in good order. A.ll alarms of fire had been sinai.Uy answered by tho members of tho brigade. Tho personnel of the brigade was sow juperintendeiu, deputy superintendent, two foremen, one motormau, and twelve firemen. A communication was received from tho Wellington Fire Board relative to pensions and superannuation, stating that tho National Provident Fund was being communicated with. The board decided to give tho question further consideration at a later date. Tho P. and T. telegraph engineer called upon the board to remove its fire alarm circuits from the telegraph poles. Tho superintendent was requested to report upon the (|ucstion.
