N. 2. CHAMPIONSHIP. HANDICAPS DECLARED The fifty-mile cycle road-racing championship, of New Zealand is to be decided in Wellington ou Saturday, the '"field" being more representative than in tho previous races. Canterbury will be represented by seven cyclists, all of them from the Papanut Amateur Sports Club, which, although formed only two months ago, has a membership of about 100. Among the Canterbury competitors, five of whom are already in Wellington, are F. J. Grose and L. G. Lukey, "who will be on the scratch mark with J. H. Wade (Auckland), the present champion, C. R. Plett (Wellington), and J. F. Algie (Poverty Bay). There are four entrants from Auckland, two from Gisbornc, two from Manawatu, one from Hawkes Bay, and one from Wairarapa. The race is to be held over a course between Wellington and the foot of Maugaroa Hill with the start and finish in Jervois quay. Tho handicaps have been declared as follow:—J. H. Wade (Auckland), F.
