SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
There was a note of merriment at tho Sailors' Friend iSocicty's concert on Tuesday .that meant much lo men just in from sea or those waiting for ships. Many encores were given. Mrs. L. Walker was the hostess. Light refreshments were dispensed. My. J. Moore, missioned, spoke on "The Upkeep" in relation to tempera nee. The performers were Mesdames Webb and Walker, Misses V. Jones, Webb, K. Ferris, Twist, Boeslcy, and Mr. Cole. Mrs. Walker and Miss Boesluy were at the piano. The competitions gave opportunity to the guests to show their skill. Tho prizes came from Woodville, and went to the J'akelia and Maheno.
