",loy Jerques," which is being produced by the members of (lie Wellington V.M.C.A. Gymnasium, under tho direction of Mr. J. A. Duffy, is more than au entertainment. The skill of the modern gymnasium has been utilised to make ''Joy Jennies" different from any other programme of its kind. There will be an übsenco of anything dull. The scenery aud costumes of the 300 members will bo a revelation in artistry, whilst tho skill or tho performers is to bo seen in "Joy. Jerques," Tho "Short-Nail Sam" Troupo of Gymnasts and hand balancers is a skilled team, who will bo seen performing most difficult hair-raislug feats. Junior girls will be seen in the "Doll Shop" sceno. whero good acting and dancing are featured. Tho younger men's group consists of highly-trained exponents of parallel bar gymnastics. Tills combination Is a product of tho Wellington Gymnasium, aud Is regarded by experts to be equal to the world's best. Miss Kathleen and Norma Walker, assisted by 24 of tho young ladies' class, will present "Amid the Sands of Sahiini," a beautiful Eastorn setting with song and music. Los Warner, tho popular clown comedian, with his diminutive clowns, will provido tho humour. Mr. Frank Crowther, the wellknown musical director, together with a full orchestra, will provido the music. In view of tho fact that "Joy Jerques" is being produced by a local organisation, whose work is of groat value to Wellington, it Is to be expected that tho public will support them.
