WELLINGTON CENTRE COMING COMPETITIONS A meeting of the Wellington Bowling Centre was held in the Wellington Club's pavilion last evening, Mr. J. Keith prc'siding. The new delegates, Messrs.. J. A. Jones (.Johnsonvillc), W. Clicgwiddcn (Newtown), J.- R. Salt (Woburu), and W. J. Lowrie (Kelburu) were welcomed by the chairman. Application from the AVoburn Club to cuter six rinks in tho senior and 2 in the junior pennants, and from the Upper Hutt Club to enter four rinks in place of two, were agreed ' to. Newtown asked leave to reduce their rinks from ten to eight. In reply to a question from Mr. H. Mayer, Mr. Salt said that the Woburu Club green would definitely be available for play in October. Should the Woburu green not be fit for play for any reason, said the Lower Hutt delegate, the Hutt Club would be pleased to make full provision for AVoburn players on its greens. Appreciation was expressed by Mr. Salt of the Hutt Club's offer, though he hoped that it would not be necessary to avail themselves of it. A general discussion followed upon the advisability of increasing the 20 quota to a 22 quota. A resolution that the decision of the last meeting adopting the 20 quota basis be rescinded was adopted. Messrs. Stone, Kershaw, and Mayer were appointed a committee to consider a revision of the entries. Their recommendation was that a revision should be made as follows:—Wellington, 22; Khandallah, 8; Kelburu, 14; Island Bay, 14; Seatoun, 8; Thorndon, 12; i Petone, .10; Victoria, 10: Lvall Bay. 8: Eastbourne, 4; Central, 10; Hataitai, 12: Karori, 10; AVoburn, 8; Upper Hutt, 4; Hutt, 10; Jolinsmivill'e, 4; Newtown, 8. JUNIOR PENNANT DRAW. The draw for the junior pennants (one rink per club) resulted as follows:—Section A: Seatoun plays Tiioriidoii; Victoriaplays Island Bay; Petone plnys Lyall Bay; Newtown a bye. Section B: Khandallah pfcivs Central; Hutt plays Johnsonvillc; Karori plays Upper Hutt; AVoburn a bye.
