MANOR PARK CLUB
On Sunday last the annual match between the ladies and the men of the above chib was played. In the morning there wore four-ball matches over nine holes, plnyed oft' handicap and each lady receiving one bisque. In the afternoon singles were played over eighteen holes, the ladies this lime receiving the difference in handicaps and three bisques. Altogether, the matches were most interesting, and finally finished 17-10 in favour of the men. A most worthy feature waa that no less than twelve games went to the last green before finality was reached. A HOLE IN ONE. The outstanding performance of the day was put up by J. A. Ronald, who covered the nine holes in thirty-six strokes, thereby equalling bogey. His round included a one at The Swamp (150 yards). Next week-end tlio championship matches will be commenced. The draw for the senior championship, to be played over thirty-six holes, is as follows:— W. D. Cooke v. P. G. Williams; A. 8. T. Butler v. G. W. James; J. A. Houald v. J. St. IT. Pope; K. Hendry v. H. 11. Chadwick. The junior championship will also be commenced, the matches being played over eighteen holes until the final, which will be fought out over thirty-six holes.
