SECRET SOCIETIES
EPIDEMIC IN RUSSIA AUTHORITIES CONCERNED Australian Press Association. LONDON, 11th September. Tho "Daily Chronicle" says that Russia, is suffering from an epidemic of secret societies, and tho Bolshevist dictators are fighting hard against the widespread revolt of youth against the Soviet regime. This fact is disclosed by au official statement in Bolshevist newspapers which assorts that higher schools and universities aro hot-beds of anti-Bol-shevist conspiracy. The Central Government is seriously alarmed by the failure to create a second generation of Communists in Russia. Many students were recently arrested at Archangel. Secret newspapers have been discovered at such a centre as Odessa, publishing violent anti-Bolshevist articles. Official opinion is also disturbed by tho fact that tho works of Lenin are scarcely read in public libraries in Bussia. Russia's youth is in revolt, concludes the official statement!
