Undeterred by Nobile's disaster, Herr Peter Frcucken announces in the "National Tidende" that ho and the veter.an explorer Nanseri will make a dash for the North Pole in March or April, using a Zeppelin now building on Lake Constance, carrying a crew of 35, with 15 scientists. Herr Freucken was lost in the Polar regions for three years from 1920, and managed to keep alive by shooting seal, walrus, and reindeer. Eventually ho was found at Pond Islet, off Banff Island. His hardships temporarily undermined his health.
