LECTTURER IN MUSIC
MR, JENNER ARRIVES (By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") "AUCKLAND, This Day. Mr. Ernest' Jenne.r,. of. London,, who is taking up the position ' of. lecturer in music at the Wellington Training College, arrived at Auckland by the Arawa from Southampton yesterday. Mr. Jenner, who is well known in musical circles in England, is fulfilling a life-long ambition. Ho stated that he always had a desire to settle in one of the Dominions, preferably New Zealand. Mr. Jenner studied the piano under York Bowen and later Tobias Matthay. Before leaving England he was engaged as teacher at the London Royal Academy of Music and found time-to give private tuition. As well as being an accomplish^ pianist, he is aji organist of note. He has played at Queen's Hall promenade concerts and various symphony concerts. Mr. Jenner has had considerable experience as a conductor. "Just before I,left London the German opera season opened and there was an. almost .unprecedented demand for seats," stated Mr. Jenner. "The operas were admirably done and wore very well received."
