LOSS OF THE STAR OF FALKLAND.
Tho loss of the sailing ship Star of Falkland, at Akun Head, Behring Sea, draws attention to tho Alaska' salmon trade (states "Fairplay.") The Alaska Packers' Association lmvo a fleet of ships, mauy of them famous clippers, which proceed to Bristol Bay nnd other Alaskan places with a large number of men. These arc put ashore at the canneries mid come home again with the ships, which are then laid up. The Star of Falkland was originally built as the Dt?rbridge, in 1802, of 1425 tons net.
