AUCKLAND'S FLYING-BOAT

My. R. Darroch, in the course of a lecture on the Navy and the Navy League at Karori, emphasised the necessity for the correct co-operation between the three services in any scheme of defence, and said that air power and sea power must advunce side by side. A picture of the type' of flying boat, which is to be Btationed at Hobsonville •Air'Base,.in Auckland, was shown on the screen. It is driven by two engines of 525 horse-power each.
