BURGLARY ALLEGED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association) INVERCARGILL, 22nd June. As a sequel to burglaries in the Winton district, James Brown- Doake, aged 32, and Francis August Stempa,\ aged 29, both unemployed engineers, we're charged with breaking and entering the shop of Duncan M'Kercuer at Lochiel and stealing goods, valued at £03. They were also charged with Frederick Thomas Quinlivan, »abbiter, aged 39, with breaking into the storeroom of the Farmers' Rest Hotel at Oreti, and stealing a quantity of liquor. They were remanded for a week.
