Tho police and the crowd then barricaded themselves, using any - shelter within roach. The police were finally compelled to uso force and order was speedily ro-iostablished.1 Two persons woro killed and several others wounded. Ono hundred woro arres'tcd, the.majority being Communists. Special orders issued to pi-event further disorders and bloodshed state that all houses, theatres, restaurants, and cinemas must bo closed at 7 p.m. ■ ' •
