(By. Telegraph.—Press Association) ,CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Tho annual report of the Canterbury Patriotic, Fund, which was presented at the annual meeting of the fund,, states that since the inauguration of'the fund in August, 1914, a total of £320,235 8s 9d had been received. Of this sum £281,644 16s 8d had been expended, leaving a balance of £38,590 12s Id. From this amount the value of the Rannerdale property, £5640 9s 7d,,had to be deducted, leaving £32,530 17s lOd for distribution. A.total of £6999 had been paid out this year to soldiers and dependants, an increase on the previous year's expenditure of £1130. Loans were made to the extent'of £326 3s 4d,: as compared-with the previous .year's total of £767 lls. The excess of ex-, penditure over income during the year was £2817 4s lld,!and the accumulated fund was reduced by this amount. :
