REGENT THEATRE.

"Tillies Punctured Romance," now showing at the ltegent Theatre1, is an up-to-date revival of an old picture, which made history in the films. The cast . is headed by W. 0. - Fields/ late 'of the Zicgfold Follies; Chester Conklin, and tho inimitable Louise Fazcnda. The circus part of this comedy is only half of tho. picture. Later, some old surprises como in tho events which happen when the circus ,goes to war. What happens to Frisbee, the owner, the ringmaster, Tillie, tho' strong woman, the lion taifier, and tho aerialists, when they are caught by the Ger-, man army, is ono succession of surprises. "TilHe's Punctured Romance" was a great success during tho season tit' the Regent Theatre In Auckland, where it was acclaimed one of the' best comedies of the year. On the same programme are pieties of the arrival of Captain Kingsford .Smith In Australia. For .those wliolike good, clean, fast-moving comedy for their motion picture entertainment, Tho Regent has a splendid offering, on Friday next. Bebo Daniels is tho star. The player is said to really outdo, herself in her latest screen offering, "Feel My Pulse." Some idea may be derived from tho situations given tho dashing comedienne by Howard Emmott Rogers, who is credited with the original story. Hiss Daniels appears as a girl who is perfectly health- but who believes that she is an invalid, and lier experiences in a sanatorium filled with patients, who are members of a bootlegging gang, are most,humorous. Fred Thomson, in "The Pioneer Scout," will be tho second offering on tills double-feature bill. The picture is a typical- Western story of tho period, about 1850, showing'the' experiences of tho relay scouts, who guided the wagon trains across the plains in spito of'the roving bands of hostile Indians, and desperadoes. ...... "CHANG." ■'• Coming to the Regent on Friday, the 29th, is a picture that has the whole-hearted endorse-, ment of tho management.- This picture has perhaps been responsible for more praise of the motion picture than any that has been made, and peoplo in Europe and America, as well, as the capital cities .of Australia, have joined in one Jong paean of praise. Tho picture is "Chang." It contains adventure, .romance, comedy, and pathos in a wonderful combination.
