Denny has tho rolo of a prize-fighter, too good-natured to knock-out his opponents unless ho Is infuriated. with them. An excellent supporting cast aids in making tho picture highly amusing. Barbara 'Worth, tliq leading lady, appears for tho second time opposite Denny. She is a capablo actress, and her charm and beauty are most pleasing. Frank Hagney, as Hello, tho heavyweight champion of the world, also gives a flno performance. Mary Can- plays another of her famous roles, except that this timo she is a grandmother Instead of a mother. Ilayden Stevenson, Gertrude Howard, and Georgo West do excellent worlfc Fred Newmeyer, the director, is apparently ablo to bring out tho most amusing angles of the •story. Good supports aro also shown, and delightful music is supplied by tho orchestra. A double-feature programmo will bo presented at the Paramount Theatre- next Friday. Billio Dove, who, with Gilbert Roland and Noah Beery, appears in "The Lovo Mart," is one of the most versatile actresses on tho screen. In this production sho enacts the rolo of an aristocratic French girl who is wrongfully accused of having mixed blood and sold as a slavo in tho public mart of New Orleans. A young man, happily married, sees his . wife in danger" of being burnt to death, while he lies helpless. Such is ono of the situations in "The Country Doctor," the second feature on the programme, in which, Rudolph Schildkraut plays the title role. In addition to Schildkraut, tho featured players in the cast aro Junior Coghlan, Sam do Grassc, Virginia Bradford, and Louis Xathea-ux. Tho screen play was written by Beulah .Mario Dix.
