ANNUAL MEETING OF LICENSING COMMITTEE The annual meeting of the Welling-, ton Licensing Committee was held at noon to-day, Mr. W. G. Biddcll, S.M., presiding. Tlie other members of the committee present were Messrs. M. A. Carr, G. Petherick (who has been a member for 28 years), J. W. Ellison, F. Moadowcroft, and W. I. Clark. . In regard to tho application of Michael • Gourlay for a new license for the Prince of Wales Hotel, Inspector Rawlc said that Gourlay had been twice previously convicted for breaches of. tho Licensing Act, and the hearing of a further charge ' was., to tako place on Bth June. An adjournment to the next quarterly meeting was granted. In the case of Alastair M'Donald, who applied for a new license for tho Carlton Hotel, Inspector Rawle said that the alterations were not yet completed. An adjournment. to 2nd July was granted.
