DAMAGES AWARDED
Judgment was given by Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today in a case in which a nurse; Ruby Knowles, claimed £93 13s 9d damages from Robert ' Ashwell Lewi's, a land agent, as a result of being knocked down by a motorcar driven by Lewis' at the corner of 'Willis and Boulcott streets on 10th .Tune, J827. Tlio defendant cotintev-claiined for JCI.T. The "Magistrate awarded the plaintiff .COL 15s 9d damages, and also costs £S Ss. The counter-claim was struck out. Security for appeal was fixed at the amount of the judgment, plus £S Ss. ■ . At the hearing of the case Mr. P. .1. O'Resaii appeared for the plaintiff and Mr. D. Perry; [or the defendant.
