CYCLE ROAD RACE
PAEIS TO BRUSSELS Australian Press Association. PARIS, 27th May. The Paris-to-Brussels cycle road race, 230 miles, was won by Rousse, the Belgian champion. 'Frantz was second, and pperman third. Time, 13 hours 29 minutes. H. 'Opperman, who filled third place in tho Paris-Brussels race, la the Australian champion and captain of the team to^ represent Australia in the Tour de France. The other members of the team are H. Watson (New Zealand), E. Bainbridge and P. Osborn (Australia). They no doubt competed in the Paris-Brussels race, which should give them further solid preparation for the .world's biggest road race. Opperman is evidently in fine form, and if the other members of the team are shaping well, a good performance is to be expected from tho Australian-New Zealand team in the Tour de Franco, which was won last year by Frantz, who filled second place in the Paris-Brussels race.
