The Department of Health has received the. following - notifications of infectious diseases' in the hospital distoicts of the Wellington health district for the .week ending yesterday (the figures for the" previous week being given in parentheses):— WoUington-Horowhenua: Scarlet fever 17 (!)), diphtheria 1 (1), enteric fever -0 (1), tuberculosis 3 (1), pneumonia 1 (3), erysipelas 0 (2), eclampsia 0 (1), dysentery 0(1). • , -' Wairarapa-East Cape: Scarlet fever 15 (10), diphtheria 13 ;(8), .enteric fever 3 (2), tuberculosis 1 (5), erysipelas 0 (1), cerobrospinul meningitis 1 (0), pneumonia 1 (0), ophthalmia neonatorum 0 (1). . Central Wellington: Scai'let fever 15 (15), diphthc.-ia 13 (4), tuberculosis 3 (4), puerperal fever l' (1), pneumonia 5 (0), food poisoning 1 (0). Nelson-Marlbordugh: Scarlet fever 3 (0), puerperal fever 1 (0), tuberculosis 0 (l), pneumonia 0 (1).
