MISS ELEANOR JOHNSON
i OTTAWA,'26th May. News from Montreal .announces that Eleanor A. Johnson, formerly supervisor of a delinquent girls' institution in New Zealand, is dead. Miss Johnson was engaged in the redemptive work of the United Church of Canada. Miss Eleanor Amelia Johnson, was 60 years of age, and was for four years in charge of the Te Oranga Home for Girls in Christchurch, before it was closed down. She resigned of her own •accord in 101G, when, she went to Canada. ■' ■ • Beforo -coming out to the Dominion shortly before 1912, Miss Johnson was connected with a girls' institution in England.
