How ho does all this makes an entertaining film. Good supports are also shown, and excellent music is supplied by tlio orchestra under Mr. Ivan Foscllo. What was probably the most expensive- setting ever provided for a film was the loan by the Admiralty of the battle-cruiser H.M.S. Tiger, tho cruiser H.M.S. Champion, destroyers, .and other auxiliary vessels, the cost of construction of which would be in tho neighbourhood of ten millions, for tho filming of "Second to None," the romance of tho Koyal Navy, and successor to "The Flag Lieutenant," in which high patriotism and homely service are blended. Somo wonderful.' scenes illustrative of Britain's might are to be seen in the film. Tho illm is a melodrama of the endeavours of a young seaman to rise in. tho Navy that lie may marry an old play-mate. His lovo is .not reciprocated, and tho object of his adoration marries the commander of his vessel. Our hero deserts, but the outbreak of war sees his return, and tho climax of the film is a naval engagement, iv which lie is killed whilst fixing a new ensign at the mast-head in place of ono shot away. Moore Marriott, Benita Hume, and Ina Fleming are the principals in a fine cast. A special prologue- will be provided ,by> Miss Kathleen O'Brien's Hornpipe Ballad.
