WELLINGTON CLUB
The Wellington Club were the guests of I Mr. and Mrs. L. Lyons, of 20, Palm Grove, Berluimpore, on Saturday afternoon. There was an excellent attendance of runners and supporters. Thirty-three members stripped to follow a good trail laid by P. S. Manly and W. Whelan, which led over the hills at the back of Athletic Park toward Vogeltown, then down the ridge to Island Bay. A run-in was held from Duppa street, which resulted in a win for J. Loder, with A. Hivon second and J. Shepherd third. After the run members and supporters were entertained to afternoon tea by their hostess. On behalf of the club Mr., Donaldson thanked Mr. arid Mrs. Lyons for their hospitality, and three cheers for them were, given.
