Thirty-two nmiiers took part in tlio lirooklyn Club's run from 111. Tamblyn's residence at' Lower Hiitt. Tlivee .packs were formed in charge of X Daviea (slow), (i. 0. Sherwood (intermediate).- and 25. Bidby (fast). The trail was laid by L. Tainblyii and S. James, anil led ' froiir Bellovuc Gardens down White's Line on to Gear Island,, then round at the back of the Waiwetu" golf course and up to Taita. A turn was made to the south at this point for home. A two hundred yards run-in resulted in L. Tamblyn filling first place, K. Pederson second, and D. Pedcvsou third. At the.conclusion of the.j l'un Mr. and Mrs. Tamblyn provided after- j noon tea for the competitors.
