AN EASY WIN FOR KARO.RI. Karori carried too many guns for Yuuug Men and won fairly easily with the scoro 6-nil. The Blacks were in much better form than on the previous Saturday, and i»iivo an exhilarating display. Youth? JNlcn showed plenty of dash, but they failed to finish off their attacking movements and were inclined to bnrich. Karori took the ball to the V.M.C.A. areaa few minutes after the commencement of play, K. Perrin scoring. The same player found the net shortly afterwards in a strenuous melee in the circle, and Kobb .and Nimmo added to Karon's total before half-time, the score reading: Karori 4, Young Meu 0. Karori continued to press in the second spell, but the V.M.C.A. defence showed improvement, and it was not until well on in the spell that Karori, broke through, Perrin and Spiers scoring. The game ended; Karori C, V.M.C.A. 0. Sl'Donnell, Young Men's goalkeeper, was responsible for many excellent saves. .Messrs.' W. A. Scott and R. P.. Staples were the referees. HUTT AND WESLEY DRAW, Wesley and Hutt fought out an interesting game in which the issue was always in doubt. A goal came to Wesley shortly after the initial bully, Pyle beating Atkinson in Hutt's goal with, a fine shot. Wesley 1, Hutt 0. Hutt secured possession in the next bully, and R. Lusty went through the Wesley opposition in a good solo run, but was unsupported in the twenty-five, and a good chance of scoring went begging. Lusty was given his opportunity in the liext few minutes, and he made no mistake about the shot. Wesley 1, Hutt 1. AVesley pressed just before half-time and the Hutt backs were unable to prevent Browne from sending the bull into the not. Wesley 2, Hutt 1. Hutt did most of the attacking in the second spell and soon equalised, Lusty dummying Boys to score. In the ensuing play a penalty bully was given against F. Lusty for obstruction. Several of the Hutt players failed to remain outside the twenty-five yard'line during the bully, and a penalty goal was. awarded. It was not until the second half of the fixture between Wellington and Petone at the Petone Recreation Ground that any difference was noticeable between the teams, and then Petone started attacking in.earnest... Wellington,, however, were not far behind, and the latter portion 61 the game was very fast. In the first half both teams were miss-hitting badly, and the play was rather slow. By half-time neither of the teams had scored. From the initial bully in the second spell, Petone were continually taking the ball up to the Wellington circle, and soon scored through the medium of Warringtpn.
