HUTT BEATS BROOKLYN. Playing on their own ground, Hutt beat Brooklyn by the odd goal in three. Hutt had the better team of. the two, and it would not have been surprising if they had won by a bigger margin. The game throughout was interestng, quite good football being played. The teams were:— Hutt: Butland, Logic, Magee, M'Dougall, T. Chapman, R. Chapman, Batchelor, Lowry, Cartwell, M'Phee, Newbey. Brooklyn: Dean, Hcndry, Browning, Hanson, Winter, Sutton, A. Brown, Minifie, M'Ardle, M'Phail, B. Brown. The first spell provided some even play, the ball being alternately at either end. Hutt. opened the scoring through Cartwell, but B. Brown, the Brooklyn skipper, equalised. Half-time sounded with the score 1 all. During the second spell Hutt did most of the attacking, although Brooklyn made a number of rushes into Hutt territory. Towards the end of the game Batchelor, who was playing a good game on the right, wing, gave Hutt the wining goal after a scramble in front of the goal. ■• ■': ■ Mr. J. Sanderson was,-referee.
